Until 2015, the last resident lived there — Abduljalil Abduljalilov. He maintained an apiary, welcomed tourists, and was a kind of "guardian" of this ghost town. The estimated age of the village ranges from 1500 to 2000 years. But the remaining walls of the houses date back to the last construction in the 19th century. The multi-tiered houses harmoniously blend into the surrounding landscape, built as an extension of the local rocks. In semi-destroyed dwellings, furniture and kitchen utensils have been preserved; some houses still have interesting carved wooden doors.
