I recently had a dream where I was filling out an application for an FSI grant 😀 It's funny because I had almost given up on that idea, since I hadn't decided on a project yet. But what was even more amusing was this: after "filling out" the application in my dream, I suddenly woke up and… at that very moment, for some reason, I remembered a project I had been working on almost 2 years ago. It was a project developed for a specific task and a particular client, and it wasn't intended to become anything bigger. After reflecting (and chatting with ChatGPT), I came to the conclusion (we did 🙂 ) that it fits very well into the contest's criteria, even better than the previous project I tried to participate with. **What is the essence of the project** In short and simple terms, the project is an online service that restores the context of a commercial deal from CRM: what was discussed with the client, what was agreed upon, where doubts arose, which questions the client didn't get answers to, what remained "in the manager's head" rather than in the system. The service pulls data from CRM: - deal stages, - action history, - correspondence, - phone call transcripts, and compiles all of this into a single meaningful text document for a specific deal. After that, you can work with this document as if it were live context: - read, - analyze, - upload to LLM, - ask questions, - understand what is really happening with the deal (or what happened if the deal has already closed or was lost). **Who benefits from this project and what does it give** If we set aside the technology and focus only on the benefits, the project is primarily about reducing managerial uncertainty. It provides the ability to quickly understand what is really happening with a deal, without diving into dozens of comments, calls, and correspondence. This saves a lot of time for the ROP, owner, or another manager, especially if there's rotation. It also gives the marketing department a better understanding of the client, enabling more precise marketing strategies. — Meanwhile, I continue filling out the application. This activity isn't the fastest or easiest — I've been working on dozens of fields and answering hundreds of questions for the second day, and I still don't see the end 🤯 By the way, the project has been running for almost 2 years and still provides value. I periodically receive comments saying, "This turned out to be such a convenient tool." I hope the foundation will also highly appreciate the groundwork laid for this project and see prospects for its commercialization 😅

Summary

The post describes a personal experience involving a dream about filling out an FSI grant application, which led to recalling a nearly two-year-old project. This project is an online service designed to consolidate and restore the context of commercial deals from CRM data, including deal stages, action history, correspondence, and call transcripts. The service compiles this information into a single, meaningful document that allows users to read, analyze, and interact with the deal context, including uploading to language models for questions and insights. The primary benefit of this tool is reducing managerial uncertainty by providing quick, comprehensive insights into ongoing or past deals, saving time for managers and improving marketing strategies through better client understanding. Despite the ongoing application process, the author emphasizes the project's long-term value and potential for commercialization, highlighting its usefulness and positive feedback from users. The story underscores how past projects can unexpectedly become relevant again and how technological solutions can significantly enhance business decision-making and efficiency.
